A weekend dedicated to the anniversary run

After the classic competitions and the Mini Ganghoferlauf already provided exciting moments on Saturday, the skating competitions followed today, Sunday. In the skating discipline, the field of participants was full of motivated hobby skiers and ambitious professionals. At the end of this impressive race weekend, the 50th Euroloppet Ganghoferlauf enjoyed around 2,000 participants from near and far.

After heavy snowfall in the night to Sunday, the final day of the jubilee began overcast. As time went by, the clouds cleared and soon the imposing Hohe Munde – the unmistakable panorama in Leutasch – was visible. More than 1,000 skaters took to the start line today and delivered a tough but at the same time fair race!

Good snow conditions paid off
Once again Leutasch more than lived up to its Nordic image. As one of the most snow-sure places in Tyrol, the impressive Leutasch valley did not disappoint its participants. The athletes and especially the international field of participants encountered exceptionally good snow and cross-country skiing conditions at the anniversary race. This is why all the participants gave the jubilee race on the original Ganghofer course enthusiastic feedback.

Successful cooperation
Thanks to the support of more than 200 volunteers and the cooperation of the Leutasch Ski Club and the Seefeld Tourist Association, we were able to welcome a total of around 1,800 starters to Austria's largest public run, despite official safety requirements and precautionary measures!
