Exhibition Sherrie Levine at KiS

Sherrie Levine has been creating art for about 45 years. Over time, she moved away from art theories and trends. She developed her own artistic language. Her work often includes the morbid or grotesque and expresses her affinity for slapstick.
At KiS – Art in Seefeld, Rafael Jablonka shows works from his extensive collection. The photographs, paintings, and bronze sculptures illustrate the diverse work of Sherrie Levine over a period of 20 years, from 1988 to 2008.

There are changing exhibitions of contemporary art twice a year at an international level. This has been possible since mid-2021 thanks to the local gallery owner Rafael Jablonka. The association KiS, founded in 2022, promotes contemporary art in Seefeld and organizes an interesting cultural program throughout the year. This includes concerts, readings, artist talks, and special projects for children and teenagers.
Elisabeth Gürtler from the Alpin Resort Sacher is the chair of the association. She is supported by board members Clemens Rhomberg, a gallery owner from Innsbruck, and Christian Jäger, a businessman from Reith near Seefeld. Anyone can become a member.
