Chapels

You can find the  "Absetz/Osötz Chapel" on the right hand side just before the slope on the Zirler Berg. The construction of this chapel can be traced back to carriage business in Zirl. The wagoners of that time built this place of worship to thank God for his help. At "Osötz" they always stopped, prayed and rested. The downhill riders clamped the brake shoes between the wheels, the uphill riders changed the horses. Each one lifted his hat and sent a short prayer to the "Lord in misery" to whom this "Osötz" was dedicated.
