playground
This large adventure playground lies between Weidach and Unterweidach in a quiet and peaceful location beside the turquoise-blue water of the picturesque stream, the Leutascher Ache. There is plenty on offer to keep children of all ages entertained, including a pirate ship for climbing on, a tunnel for crawling through, two wooden climbing frames with netting in-between and a sand pit with sun protection. There is a sandy piece of ground where future would-be builders can practise with the shovel dredger or budding balancing artistes can test their skills on the wobbly bridge. And for the little ones there is a swing with safety basket. There are two over-sized wooden deck-chairs and a picnic area with a table and benches.
The playground is surrounded by luscious meadows and grassland and in autumn in particular, it is a great place to spot hang-gliders making the most of the breeze. You can get to the play area in a couple of minutes on foot from the Weidach-Brücke carpark or from the bus stop ‘Leutasch Weidach/Zentrum’, and after a fun-filled morning or afternoon by the water’s edge, you can recharge your batteries with some refreshments in one of the many
