In a nod to the Seyrling farmers of old, we have come up with the tongue-in-cheek name of "Sigis Sauhaufen" or “Sigis Pigsty”.
This farmhouse is a lifelong dream of Alois Seyrling's and took 7 years of planning to reach fruition.
The main part of the building is made of wood from private forest land, cut according to the phases of the moon.
The heating is from solar energy from the Seefeld local bio-heating system.
The electricity is by means of modern photovoltaics.
Both the stall and outdoor enclosure are freely accessible to all ages and we offer regular guided tours.
Who all lives here then: miniature “Dahomey” cattle, miniature goats, miniature donkeys, ponies, pot-bellied pigs, bunny rabbits, ducks and silky fowl.
This private property really is a natural gem and is bordered by the Seefeld lake, the Wildsee, the Gschwandtkopf and the little church, the Seekirchl. The area covers over 150,000 m² and we are more than happy to allow everyone free access to it.
