In memory of the last Seyrling farmer, we humorously adopted the name and it became „Sigis Sauhaufen“.

This farmhouse is the dream of Alois Seyrling and after a 7-year planning phase, it is finally complete.

  • The main part of the building was constructed from moon-felled wood from our own forest.
  • The necessary heat energy comes from solar energy and local bio-heat Seefeld.
  • We cover our electricity needs with modern photovoltaics.

The stable and the outdoor enclosure are freely accessible for young and old and we regularly offer tours. In addition, it is wheelchair accessible and suitable for people with disabilities.

Who else lives here with us: Dwarf cattle “Dahomey”, mini goats, dwarf donkeys, ponies, Vietnamese pigs, floppy-eared rabbits, Indian runner ducks, and Silkies, among others.

This private property is a natural jewel, surrounded by the Seefeld Wildsee, the Gschwandtkopf, and the Seefeld Seekirchl, covering 150,000 m², and we are very happy to make it available for public use.

In the petting zoo, there is plenty of space for our:

  • Pasture areas for sheep/goats/cattle
  • Free-range areas for our wandering hens
  • Cultivation of culinary and tea herbs
  • Cultivation of hops for our brewery
  • Cultivation of vegetables and potatoes
  • Cultivation of apples and traditional orchard
