Packing list for a holiday with your dog in the mountains

So that you and your four-legged friend can enjoy your time to the full and are equipped for all adventures, we have put together a list of some important things you might need for a successful stay:

  • Plenty of dog food and delicious treats, including a small emergency reserve.
  • Folding water and food bowls save space and are therefore ideal for meals and drinking breaks on the go.
  • A cosy dog bed or a snuggly blanket to make your four-legged friend feel at home.
  • A good dog lead and suitable collar are particularly important in the mountains. Be sure to also take a look at our rules of conduct for all dog owners.
  • A variety of dog toys for fun and activities during your stay.
  • Warm dog clothing to protect your pet from the cold.
  • An emergency first aid kit is always useful, even for dogs.
  • We also recommend paw protection for different conditions. For example, special shoes or creams for paw comfort and protection.
  • Moisturising paw cream prevents cracks and dryness on your dog's paws. After all, not only you, but also your faithful companion should be pampered on holiday.
  • Practical dog wipes and cleaning products for paws are great for cleaning up after mountain adventures.
  • Important vaccination passports and health documents in case of an (unexpected) visit to the vet.
  • And last but not least: environmentally friendly poo bags for the environmentally conscious disposal of your dog's faeces.
