Soccer in the Region Seefeld

The perfect altitude of the plateau, the excellent infrastructure as well as the optimal all-round care offer the best conditions for a demanding and effective game on the grass. At an altitude of 1,200 metres, amidst the mountains, the nature offers enough space for a demanding strength and endurance training. In addition it also offers the highest concentration of wellness establishments in the alpine region and therefore an ideal setting for relaxation and regeneration.

The sports facilities of the Region Seefeld include four top-maintained natural grass pitches. One soccer field is located directly in the world championships area in Seefeld, in the heart of the Nordic Competence Centre. Immediately below is the second soccer field with an additional small field. Two more soccer fields are located close by in Leutasch and Scharnitz.

For years, the Region Seefeld has been welcoming national and international soccer teams who are preparing for the Champions League and European League in the trainings camp. Many soccer teams have already used the professional training conditions of the region: RB Leipzig, Liverpool, Manchester City, Galatasaray, Dynamo Kiew, Brescia, Kayerispor, German national team, Austrian national team, Dutch national team, Japanese national team and many others.

Seefeld and football: for real high performance

The Region Seefeld is known worldwide for its excellent training conditions for Nordic sports. But the region can do much more than that: athletes also find the best conditions here in summer. Like the soccer players, for example. Where in winter still the world champions ran over the trails, now the world's best kickers train.
