Carnival in the Region Seefeld
Really foolish!
Hex, Goggl, Naz, Kusenroller, Bär and Trina are the names of the traditional carnival figures in the Seefeld region. As old customs would have it, every village tells its very own colourful village stories at carnival time. With elaborate parades, festively decorated floats, lovingly cared-for garments and hand-carved larvae (masks), the carnival season in the Seefeld region is a truly "foolish" experience every year, where nothing and no one is taken quite so seriously and Tyrol's high plateau is simply upside down for a few days.
The most convenient way to travel to the Region Seefeld
With the train to the carnival procession
Without a desperate search for a parking space and without bumper to bumper – those who travel to the Region Seefeld by train will quickly notice how much the environmentally friendly alternative will pay off in contrast to owning your own vehicle. From Innsbruck, the train station in Seefeld, directly adjacent to the Seefeld pedestrian zone, can be reached in about 35 minutes. Once there, a real winter wonderland awaits guests in contrast to the provincial capital! The same applies coming from Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
