Alpine pastures & huts
The Neue Magdeburger Hütte (formerly Solsteinhaus) at 1,663 metres above sea level has been renovated and expanded again and again during its long existence, but has lost none of its original charm to this day. The former hunting lodge with its children's playground and adjacent climbing garden offers a varied stay among flowering alpine meadows, especially for big and small children. Down-to-earth Tyrolean specialities from our own production give new strength for hikes and mountain tours. On request, you can also stay overnight at the rustic Alpine Club hut during the warm summer months.
OVERNIGHT STAY
In summer you can also stay overnight at the idyllic refuge below the Solstein. The 19 room beds and 55 camp beds may only be used with a (hut) sleeping bag (available on site), however, in consideration of others, and slippers are also welcome. Dogs and other pets are not allowed in the overnight camp, but are given their own place to sleep in the cosy parlour. Overnight guests can choose between breakfast or half-board at the hut; prior reservation is requested in any case.
STARTING POINT
The ascent to the new Magdeburger Hütte starts from the Hochzirl railway station or provincial hospital. From Seefeld or Scharnitz
