The Scharnitz train station is located directly next to the main road in the centre of the village. Accommodation, hiking trails, restaurants and the Scharnitz Nature Park and Information Centre are within a few minutes' walking distance of the barrier-free train station. The station itself is unmanned, so tickets can be bought directly on the train. Up-to-date timetable information for trains and buses are available at all the information offices in the region.
