Alpine pastures & huts
The Nördlinger Hütte (2,238m) is the highest refuge in the extensive Tyrolean Karwendel Mountains. The popular hiking destination is located directly on the Karwendel Höhenweg Trail in the Erlspitzgruppe above the Region Seefeld and was opened on 16 August 1898 (renovated in 1981).
Due to its exposed location on the ridge below the Reither Spitze (2,373m), the spacious alpine inn offers unique views of the surrounding Tyrolean mountains, fantastic sunsets and a breathtaking night sky. The family-run Alpine Club hut also offers an optimal starting point for Karwendel traverses lasting several days and various continuing summit tours.
The Nördlinger Hütte is only open during the warm summer months from June to the beginning of October and welcomes mountaineers and day guests on the expansive sun terrace with rustic home cooking and delicious regional hut specialities. Payment here is only possible with cash.
OVERNIGHT STAY
The charming refuge also offers overnight accommodation for a total of 60 people - with 30 room beds and 30 camp places. Pets are also welcome overnight on prior request to the landlord. Payment is only possible with cash upstairs, but there is also a small shop with any necessities (hygiene articles, first aid).
