Easily accessible alpine pastures & huts
Already the local poet Ludwig Ganghofer loved the hunting area in the Gaistal and lived for a long time in the hunting lodge Hubertus not far from the Tillfussalm. The rustic hut is located at 1,382 meters above sea level at the foot of the iconic Zugspitze, nestled between the Wetterstein Mountains and the Mieminger Range. The famous Ganghoferweg trail leads to the small alpine hut, and the nearby Jagdhaus Hubertus also tells of the writer's work to this day.
At the rustic alpine hut, the two warm hosts Patrick and Jonas from Lermoos spoil hungry (e-)bikers (please bring charger) and hikers from May to October with homemade specialties from regional production. A special treat is the homemade berry cake. A playground, lush alpine meadows cows and countless wild animals in the surrounding forests are waiting for the little ones (forest path suitable for baby carriages).
