SDG 12
Responsible consumption & production
SDG 12 "Responsible consumption and production" focuses on our use of natural resources. The fight against food waste and waste generation in general is linked to a desired change in awareness and sustainable consumption behaviour as well as – as in SDG 8 – sustainable tourism. We cite here our projects for better use of resources, regionality and waste avoidance.
Region Seefeld
Our producers
We have been highlighting local producers since the beginning of 2021 through the "Real plateau product" product line, which is available in the information offices and first hotels. Since the beginning of 2022, there has also been the "Plateau breakfast" as the first official award for a regional breakfast in Tyrol. This is intended to promote local direct marketers, authentic enjoyment and generally short distances. Synergies with SDG 8 (Sustainable economic growth), SDG 11 (Sustainable communities), SDG 13 (Climate protection)

Enjoy the Plateau Breakfast
In collaboration with Agrarmarketing Tirol and Neutrauter*Frisch, the Tourism Association has launched the 'Seefeld Plateau Breakfast'. The aim of this project is to source the key ingredients of a hearty Alpine breakfast — such as bread, butter, milk, eggs, and at least one type of jam, cheese, and sausage specialties—directly and regionally. Here, you will find genuine Tyrolean quality products, preferably local produce directly from the plateau. Experience the diversity of our region on your plate in the morning.

We keep our region clean
#CleanUpPlateau
With the #CleanUpPlateau Challenge, the tourism association calls for spring cleaning in the region every year. In doing so, we raise awareness for our region, which is worth protecting, and collect up to several tonnes of rubbish. Synergies to SDG 11 (Sustainable communities), SDG 15 (Life on land)
