The beautiful tobogganing track to the Rauthhütte spans a challenging route of approximately three kilometers, conquering an impressive 420 meters of elevation gain. With an average gradient of 16.8%, it offers an especially demanding descent. The tour begins at the P18 'Munde' parking lot in the Moos district and is well signposted. Right at the starting point, the Mundestadl restaurant invites you to enjoy some regional delicacies—perfect for fueling up before the climb.The ascent features some demanding sections, especially in the switchbacks, where you should watch out for oncoming sledders and hikers. After about 1.5 hours of hiking, you’ll reach the Rauthhütte at an altitude of 1,605 meters. In the cozy stove rooms, you can warm up by the fireplace while enjoying hearty Tyrolean cuisine and regional specialties served by the hosts. Dogs are also warmly welcome! On clear days, the view from the top is breathtaking, with the Inntal valley stretching out below, the Zugspitze to the north, and the Zillertal Alps to the south.
