The natural toboggan run on the Mühlberg in Scharnitz is an insider tip for toboggan fans that is hardly frequented. You reach the ascent about 500 metres from the Mühlberg car park (P4) in a westerly direction.
Slightly to the left, the toboggan run then leads for about an hour on a pleasant incline to the summit of the Mühlberg at 1318 metres above sea level. The view from the top stretches far over Scharnitz and as far as the Ahrnspitzen, the Brunnensteinspitze and the Karwendelspitze. After the sporty ascent, the last steep section becomes the starting ramp for the 2.5-kilometre-long descent into the valley.
The scenic ride not only overcomes 250 metres in altitude with an average gradient of 12.6%, but also takes some racy curves along the way. So you should definitely be sure of your footing here.
