Veal sausage salad: the perfect snack for food
Take your hiking snack to a new level of taste!
Because we believe that a small snack is a must for every hike, today we would like to introduce you to a recipe that is not only easy to prepare, but also a treat for the palate: Thoaml's veal sausage salad. Perfect for a summit snack or a picnic in the great outdoors!
Recipe for Thoamls veal sausage salad:
Ingredients:
- 1 Thoaml's extra veal sausage
- 3 free-range eggs
- 3 potatoes
- 3 carrots
- 5 tbsp peas
- 5 pickles
- 1 small cup of crème fraîche
- Flour
- 2 tbsp sunflower oil
- 2 tbsp vinegar (Hesperides vinegar is used in the original sausage salad)
- 1/2 teaspoon Thoaml's garden herb salt
And here's how it works:
- First, peel the potatoes and carrots and cut them into small cubes. Boil them together with the peas in lightly salted water for about 15 minutes
- Meanwhile, boil the free-range eggs. Then leave to cool and cut into small pieces
- Cut the extra sausage into thin slices or strips, depending on your preference
- Mix the cooked vegetables and eggs in a bowl. Add the gherkins, crème fraîche and Thoaml's garden herb salt and mix well
- If necessary, add a little of the cucumber water for extra flavor
- Leave the veal sausage salad to stand for at least an hour before serving
Tip: The veal sausage salad tastes best as a delicious snack with a fresh roll or a crusty slice of brown bread. 😊
