Important Information for Trailrunning in Winter
The recommended trailrunning routes follow official winter hiking trails, which are regularly groomed and checked. It may happen that our trailrunning routes run parallel to or cross cross-country ski trails. We, therefore, ask trail runners to show special consideration for winter hikers and cross-country skiers. We recommend that you do not leave the marked winter hiking trails to ensure everyone's safety and to respect the local wildlife and protected areas.

Equipment Tips
- Winter trail shoes: Specially developed for winter, they offer you the necessary grip on snow and ice.
- Studs or spikes: Even more grip on any surface.
- The right running clothing: Invest in thermal layers that wick away moisture and insulate at the same time. We recommend a warm hat and gloves, as well as sunglasses to protect you from blinding snow and harmful UV rays.
- Don't forget to drink: On longer tours, you also need to keep your body hydrated.
- Take a mobile phone with you: A charged mobile phone not only helps you find your way but also increases your safety.
- Orientation aids: The GPX data can easily be downloaded to your running watch or smartphone in advance. Find out about the route on our interactive map to stay on the right track.
- Light in the dark: A powerful headlamp ensures that your route is always well lit.
