Tyrol’s 1st Winter Multi-day Hike - 4 Stages
Discover Leutasch, a winter paradise, on this 4-day winter multi-day hike. The 1st winter multi-day hike in the heart of Tyrol. You will stay somewhere different every day, ranging from comfortable hotels to the traditional Wettersteinhütte, and there is the added convenience of having your luggage transported (except Wettersteinhütte) while you are hiking along the stages, whatever the degree of difficulty. The 16 km-long Leutasch valley is particularly snow-sure over the winter months and is great for winter sports. The hoteliers are traditional and welcoming and will win you over with tasty delights and fabulous views from the accommodation.

Winter walking over 4 stages
The 4 daily stages take you on specific winter trails along the wide, 16 km-long, idyllic Leutasch valley and introduce you over the four days to the most scenic parts. There are 3 overnights included in different accommodation and as a special service, participants can enjoy luggage transport as part of the winter multi-day hike package. This significantly eases the daily hiking process for you. Your luggage will be collected from the hotel in the morning and taken to your next accommodation. Please note however that luggage transport to the Wettersteinhütte on stage 3 is not possible. The chance to overnight at the Wettersteinhütte is exclusive to this long-distance hike and offers a real mountain-hut experience with fantastic views and Tyrolean hospitality. You will sleep in either a mattress-dormitory or in a bunk.
Points to note:
- Overnighting at the Wettersteinhütte is only possible with your own sleeping bag (lightweight down sleeping bag) and your own pillow-case.
- Luggage transport is included from Monday to Wednesday and Tuesday to Thursday. You have to take whatever luggage you may need to the Wettersteinhütte by yourself (incl. your own lightweight down sleeping bag & pillow-case).
- Dogs are not allowed.
- The hikes are open to over 16’s (one accommodation is Adults Only).

3 nights, from € 495 p.p incl. half-board & resort tax | single room supplement € 75
2 x overnights in hotels with sauna, 1 x overnight in a mattress-dormitory or bunk in the Wettersteinhütte.
*Overnight in the Wettersteinhütte only with your own sleeping bag (lightweight down sleeping bag) and your own pillow-case.
*Extra overnight stays can be booked.
*Luggage transport for hikers is included in the booking price (except stage 3 Wettersteinhütte).
*All stages of the hike are self-guided – this is not a guided tour. Please make sure you are realistic when assessing your own ability for the 4 stages and plan well. That way you will be able to enjoy the selected route and marked trails to the full.
*We recommend wearing spikes/shoe chains.
*Changes to the advertised routes can occur due to winter and snow conditions.
Equipment tip: poles and spikes
A good pair of walking poles is always advisable and will provide you with extra support and comfort. If you want to feel really sure-footed while walking, bring along some spikes for your walking boots. The spikes have been specially developed for winter use and give you good support on snow and ice. Poles and spikes are available in the sports shops in the region. Snowline is a well-regarded make, as is the Austrian brand, Komperdell.
