SPRING & AUTUMN
10 reasons why we love autumn
The time has come: autumn has arrived in the Seefeld region. It's time to say "pfiat di" (goodbye) to summer and get ready for the new, colorful season. Autumn has many great sides and there are numerous reasons why you simply have to love it!
1. autumn comes in colorful dress of colors
They are probably the most beautiful gift of autumn: the bright colors! Red, orange, yellow and green leaves shine on the trees. The larch forests are also particularly beautiful when they shine in magical colors - a feast for the eyes! "The golden autumn" - it has really earned this name. So it's time to go outside and watch the leaves trickle off the trees and rustle under your feet. Enjoy the new season with all your senses!
Our insider tip: In autumn you should definitely visit the Ahornboden. It is a magnificent sight when the maple trees change color and shine.

2. Autumn is sporty: hiking, e-biking, climbing
The summer may be over - but the hiking season is not yet! Autumn is wonderful for hiking. The reason for this is not only the colorful views, but also the weather: While there are often thunderstorms in summer, autumn is more stable. In addition, inversions often occur in autumn: Then it is warmer up on the mountain than down in the valley. So: Off to the top of the mountains! And don't banish your e-bike to the cellar just yet. And climbers love the fall just as much: On the south-facing walls, you can still "scramble" in the warming sun until late in the season.
3. autumn weather: we love it!
The autumn weather has many surprises in store. Not only does it bring inversion weather - from bright sunshine and "lightning blue" skies to atmospheric fog and snow, it can be anything. That is pure variety! Let no one say that autumn is dull. And do you know that feeling when the air becomes clear and cool again? It's wonderfully refreshing - and conjures up pretty pink cheeks on our faces. On top of that, the autumn air makes for clear, expansive views.
The first snow!
A reason to rejoice: autumn is the harbinger of winter and already brings the first snow. It is a special moment every year when the peaks shine in white for the first time. Here in the Olympiaregion Seefeld we were able to experience this already in August - and the next time is sure to come! We are already looking forward to building the first snowman!
5. time to get your skis and sled ready!
With the first snow, the anticipation among all winter sports enthusiasts also rises immeasurably: The prospect of the white gold makes us nervous. We don't put away our hiking boots yet - but we get our skis ready anyway. We're waiting in the wings for the trails and slopes to open!

6. mother nature has many autumn gifts ready
In autumn, nature brings forth many delicacies. Finally, it's time again to go into the forest and collect: Schwammerln (mushrooms) are the first harbingers of autumn, then there's cranberries and of course chestnuts, walnuts and Co! It's also apple and pumpkin time - Hmmm! Autumn just tastes soo good!
7. autumn time is craft time
From the collected found objects you can make really great things with children: Chestnut men, hollowed-out pumpkin heads, figures made of moss, small boats made of walnut shells - live it up! There are no limits to your creativity. Also pretty wreaths made of corn and leaves decorate the apartment. Autumn is the perfect time to fly a kite - it's even more fun with a kite you've made yourself! Oh yes: You can also make traditional creative lanterns for St. Martin.

8. the perfect season for sauna and wellness
When the temperatures outside drop again, it's time for us to take a hot sauna! This is not only good for the soul, but also for the body: sauna strengthens the immune system and makes you ready for the winter. People who regularly go to the sauna are less likely to fall ill with flu and colds. So we should sweat in the sauna often, especially in autumn!
9. time for romantic walks through the rustling leaves
The trees are shedding their colorful coat of leaves and this provides us with dreamlike walks through the rustling, colorful foliage. Let the soothing autumn sun warm your face and fill up on a big load of beneficial vitamins. The children are also very happy about the funny piles of leaves and jump happily from pile to pile.

10. autumn time is cuddle time
Snuggling up in front of the stove with a hot tea and listening to the crackling of the fire for the first time of the season, enjoying a warm soup and cuddling up with loved ones: this is what autumn feels like! When it rains outside, we don't have to feel bad at all when we cozy up on the couch with a good book. Plus, we can finally put on our favorite wool sweaters and flannel shirts again. Dear autumn, it's good to have you here!
